Storing fresh produce from our farm and struggling with spoilage

We've got a small farm in Ras Al Khaimah and this season our tomato and cucumber harvest has been absolutely incredible, way more than we expected actually, which is great for business but now I'm scrambling to figure out proper storage because we're losing a surprising amount to premature spoilage. I've been doing some research and I think part of the problem is that our current containers don't allow enough airflow, so moisture builds up and accelerates the rotting process, especially in this heat. I was looking at getting some proper produce bins that have ventilation built in, specifically something like a vented crate with lid that would let the air circulate while still protecting the vegetables from dust and pests. The ones I've seen online seem perfect for what we need, but I'm a bit unsure about the sizing because we harvest in varying quantities throughout the week and I don't want to get something too big that takes up unnecessary space or too small that we're constantly running out. Has anyone here dealt with post-harvest storage for fresh produce in the UAE climate and found a system that actually works long-term? I'd really appreciate any practical tips on managing humidity levels and whether the vented crates make a noticeable difference compared to solid ones.
